LG USB DVD Rewriter
I bought this recently and tested it in (linux distribution) Ubuntu 20.04 using a CD-RW. It was entirely accurate both writing files (subsequently read by another DVD drive) and reading files written by another rewriter. It correctly blanked the disk.

For the price I guess it's ok
I bought this portable USB drive as was unable to fit a DVD writer in the computer case, it does the job ok but can make rubbing sounds at times, also a not a solid build. if buying again I would look further.
