Con's: If you don't use it you can cook your CPU and even damage your motherboard.

This Thermal Grease successfully greased the thermals out of the ancient GPU of my media server, which is now running nice and cool ... no more random colorful displays and shutdowns. (unblocking the totally dust-blocked heatsink fins may have also assisted those pesky thermals to escape) I didn't use the included wipes or applicator as I have plenty of cloths and isopropyl alcohol, and used the One True Blob application method.
