Works great, but would not recommend as the build quality is flimsy and it was a nightmare to fit. this cooler works very well, but I wouldn't recommend it for first time builders because its very hard to install. Stock cooler was allowing CPU to hit TDP max and then throttling performance with any constant workload. CPU basically sat at 98° with reduced clock speeds. With the new cooler installed highest temp has been 73° and CPU throttling is no longer occurring. This thing works and all but it took a solid hour to install just because of how hard the clips are to put on. Ended up smearing the thermal paste like all over bc of how many times we had to try and try and try again. Oh yea, it was a two people effort. Lowkey felt like we were gonna break the mobo at all time just bc of the amt of force required to push the clips into the hooks. Does the job as an air cooler fine, but did I say it was THE MOST OBNOXIOUS air cooler seetup I have ever fitted. Totally risking the Motherboard and CPU with the amount of pressure needing to be applied to fit. Deepcool NEED to get there measurements sorted. A CPU socket ALREADY has the correct amount of compression via the slot clasp. The cooler is there to cool not add Oil-Rig like pressure to the CPU and board.

I bought this on sale to replace my processor's loud stock cooler. As other reviewers have noted, it comes with thermal paste pre-applied.
It was somewhat difficult to install because I had to exert a lot of pressure to get it clamped in, which made me concerned that I might accidentally break something.
Once installed, it significantly reduced CPU temperatures at load, compared to the stock cooler.
