256GB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD

As the description mentions it's a bit of a mish-mash of chips that you may receive. I won the lottery with a Samsung chip that does 3100 MB/s sequential read and 1300 MB/s sequential write. This will become the OS drive for an old machine that I am reviving. Please keep in mind that your luck may vary but I just wanted to note that it's not all garbage just because it's a grab bag of chips. I picked one of these at a recent sale, and received a Samsung MZVLB256HBHQ-000L7 (https://semiconductor.samsung.com/ssd/pc-ssd/pm981a/mzvlb256hbhq-00-00-07/). Works well in an external USB 3 enclosure with 450 MB/s read, 380 MB/s write, and 0.09 millisecond average access time. I'm sure it would be 7-8x faster if installed directly into the PC according to the specs. The NVMe works well as the boot drive and had enough space on the M.2 for a working storage drive as I edit new photos there before storing on the 2.5 SSD. Pleased with the purchase and the set up I have achieved. This was the first ever ssd I ever purchased and I gotta say it was very worth it. I was debating whether to switch to a ssd from the traditional hdd and I do not regret the decision.
