For a harddrive it's pretty quick, fastest I've ever owned. I'd imagine something like the WD Black might be better, but I decided this was better value and do not regret my descision. This is a pretty good Hdd and I do prefer a 7200rpm over 5400/5900 rpm drives I notice the diference when you copy large amounts of Data from hdd to hdd decent price as well, so thumbs up.
