Easy set-up. I’ve transferred lots of files and has the drive for about a month. Only issue is when I plug it in to my laptop, hp security keeps pinging me with ‘access denied’ notifications. Despite the fact that I run my laptop using Ubuntu Linux and that this External Hard Drive was stated to be ready for use with Windows or Mac, I bought it anyway since the price was very good. I am not a programming geek, but after probably half an hour of using different options in Ubuntu, I was able to get the drive reading, saving, and being able then to let me retrieve all of the items - movies and saved documents mostly - I had wanted to store.
