Seagate has a good name in the industry and it is great to still be able to find spinners at a reasonable price. They are still a good form of storage, particularly for lots of read/write functions and decent backup. PB Tech have a very competitive price and are my number 1 go to store. I needed a spare drive to use so I could move a few TB of things between new and old computer and to use as a backup drive and was pleasantly surprise at how quick it was. Might have to buy another just so I can have an actual spare one as I have kept this one plugged in for now. This was just what I needed, transferring power was much better than expected, and moved a lot of data very quickly. Not extremely loud when running like some hard drives either. The plug in play was perfect for me. it doesn't have a password for sum 1 that might be a problem but that's why I got this one .
