So far, it's been pretty solid.

I'm amazed at how far this tech has come in 20 years. In 2009, I never would have dreamed of chucking an operating system (let alone one that's based on Arch) onto an external hard drive and using it in real-time over USB and get the performance out of it as though the operating system is installed on my in-built hardware.

...and this is all with a laptop from 2019 too.

As for the solid state drive itself? Can't fault it, at the time of writing this review (which is already two weeks into my stress test with EndeavourOS).

As for the pic attached, rather than show a pic of the solid state drive (which I'm sure many other people have already done before me), I'm showing the result of what's possible with it—with a screenshot of EndeavourOS running on this solid state drive.
This is pretty much the Linux version of "but can it run Doom?", and yes. Yes it does... incredibly well.

Used it on my Mac m1 works fine though I did chose to use mac's disk utility app to format to APFS but then other operating systems can't read the data . So tiny! Bought it specifically to play Starfield on desktop PC, works a treat. I was skeptical about playing games from an external drive but it really is so fast, works great. Downloading Steam games directly to it is incredibly fast too.
No downsides but I would say if you were going to be carrying it around you would definitely want the padded version, this one is a bit slippery. So tiny! I purchased this ssd as a backup drive for my iMac.
The first unit would not allow me to open or reformat the drive and after many fruitless attempts and many visits to the support pages where again, nothing suggested worked. Then on to the support department where it was suggested I hadn’t followed the online support instructions properly. No joy! Then back to the shop where the friendly tech support voiced the same thoughts before another two tech support people, after failing to access the drive, admitted it was faulty:(

They then promptly replaced the faulty drive with a new one which has worked perfectly from the moment I plugged it in.
It has excellent speed and capacity and functions as my mirror image backup and emergency start up drive.
Highly recommended and apart from the early hiccup so are pbtech and their staff:)
