Worked like a dream, for a few months, then it disconnected itself and I couldn't access my files. It wouldn't reconnect despite the best efforts of the techs, but at least got the files recovered. This is a good little drive, compact, faster than its predecessor, and whilst I don't intend to test its anti-shock capability I am sure it is as robust as it feels and that is reassuring considering the repeated travelling my previous drive underwent - finally developing a fault after about 8 years, and eve then I could still copy the contents out. Great External HDD. This is my out-in-the-field hard drive to back up images while I'm shooting jobs, and paired with the rugged case, I have no worries about a few bumps here and there. If you use a Mac, you'll need to reformat it as it arrived set up for PC, but that is very easy and quick to do through your Mac. Great External HDD. Good drive - speed is fine and it's well shock-proofed.

I have used these drives for many years. I once dropped one from 2.5m height onto a concrete floor slab. That was 5 years ago and its still operating as good as new.
