I asked in store for a Mac compatible and USB C port external hard drive to back up a damaged Macbook.
Store person selected this product and I paid and he opened it to help me transfer some data to it. But unfortunately it was a USB A not a C and he had to configure as not Mac compatible.
I stated that I was not really that happy and he checked, and they didn’t have any suitable Mac ones in stock - so I was sort of stuck with what I had -as downloading the data was critical. An he installed drivers to be able to do the data transfer
So in the end I just took it away – but this product was not what I asked for.

In fairness he later emailed me a how to do drivers and 2 ways that MAC can read and write from external HDD. But I just wanted a plug and play option and not have to do all this. Very disappointed with this product - but only because it was not what I asked for and after payment and opening it – I was stuck with it.

I did not realise it will not work straight out of the box if you are with apple. It was not pointed out to me by the sales person at PBTech, nor did he ask if I was on Apple or Windows.
He should have asked me this question and then let me know what would be involved to set it up as I am on apple computer.
To make it worse the set up instructions were missing from inside the box.
I would have preffered to get a Seagate disk as that works straight out of the box when you are on a apple computer.
I would not purchase again.
