The first one I ordered during lockdown stopped working 10 minutes after I plugged it to charge. Did not even had a chance to ride it. I got the new one as soon as I had a chance to get to the store & it has been working fine till now (about 100km).

All in all, good performance, slowly but steadily ride uphill, the battery life is fine too (managed to ride up to 15km on eco mode and up to 7km on the sport).

The only downside I can see so far is the quality of the assembly. So it's a bit of a gamble when you buy it. However, if it works for the first week, it will probably work for years. Within 24 hours of owning the Segway escooter it started making a creecking sound whenever I got on and off, then the battery only lasts about 6km in sports mode, which is no we’re near the advertising 25km. These were all in the first 24 hours, I can’t imagine what problems it will have in a month or so of using it. Really nice scooter although I would recommend to go for the next model up if you’re on the heavier end of riders... power can be a problem when going up more than a gentle slope. Otherwise this is a really nice ride. I bought this intending to use it to ride to school and back and it does an excellent job. The battery life is amazing on the scooter, so i never have to worry about running out, and the portability is great. I enjoy going at high speeds on the scooter and would recommend it to anyone. After reviewing many scooters and taking a few for a test run, I bought the Ninebot in PBTech Hornby and got a good deal.

Had it 3 weeks now to commute to work and zoom around for pick up/drop offs and love it. 3 speed settings allow better control and the many lights are brilliant...will be awesome early mornings in winter months. Highly recommend Segway Ninebot - up to 25kms distance, max 27kms speed and very sturdy ride in the bike lanes of Christchurch. The phone app is good though I haven't figured out the lock on it but as back wheel not solid, easy to secure with good 'bike' lock. Battery does drain quicker when use higher speed but as only 8.4kms return to work, only charging every couple of days.

I went into PB Tech to buy a different scooter and the sales person suggested my ninebot instead. This Kick Sooter is a brilliant machine. It has a definite feel of quality about it. It has excellent ergonomically and has been carefully designed. It is very fast on Sport Mode but as expected slow on hills. Riding the Scooter is a healthy experience where you get fresh air and an outdoor experience. A good buy.
