Everyone should have an instant read thermometer - comes in handy for all sorts of things. I mainly use this for BBQ, pork shoulders, chicken, etc, but it also gets some general use around the kitchen. Seems to be a well made, good quality piece of kit for the price. Recommended. Purchased this as can't get or afford the ThermoWorks Thermapen. Do have other Thermoworks thermometers but needed another and this does appear to be good, just a little on the large chunky side.
