I was using a drag behind in a house with a short haired dog. got the Shark and the amount of dog hair I picked up after using the old machine was very surprising and defined for me the usefulness of the Shark. Sooooo much better. I absolutely love, love this vacuum. With 2 cats, and a shaggy dog in the house, this vacuum has been a brilliant and irreplaceable addition to the family. Light with easy manoeuvrability for such a bulky looking machine. I absolutely love, love this vacuum. Bought this to replace an ageing Dyson. We have a very sheddy dog, and 2 cats. I've never seen our old carpet so clean. According to my wife, carpet lines are a thing, now we have them. Very pleased with this vacuum. To stop cord getting in way I wrap it once around side handle part and that solves that problem. Suction is great. Highly recommend this vacuum. Great price too. This is probably the ugliest vacuum cleaner available but it works brilliantly. My Dyson had issues and I decided to replace rather than repair it. Great choice. I use it on carpet and almost fill the reservoir every time. The cord is nice and long as well. I haven’t used the attachments yet. I have had it just over a month. We were amazed at how effectively this vacuum lifted stubborn dust and fur out of our carpet. We were operating a very basic vacuum prior to this and should have upgraded a long time ago. My partners 5'5 and I'm approximately 6' and we both find it a great height and easy to use. Very easy to empty too - 100% recommend.
