Logitech MX Keys Advanced Wireless Keyboard

Have one of these at work for a few months and was so pleased with it I purchased one for home.

I've owned and used many many keyboards over the years, wired and wireless, regular and "ergonomic". This is closest to the Apple wireless keyboard, sleek and ultra low profile, a joy to type on and is very very fast. Its a fantastic keyboard, however one point of failure is that the wonderful auto detection of the user means more often than not i am doing jazz hands over my keyboard just to get the backlight to show up. This isnt a problem in an office with a well lit single layer desk, but at home its under a shelf.

Logitech doesnt have the option to force the backlight to be on all the time, even when its connected via its usb c charging cable. Once I purchased this, I found myself on forums within days. So torn between a brilliant, fast, comfy keyboard and the utter rubbish backlight system.

Oh and Jazz hands because while the keyboard might be dark, its still active so pressing random keys is then sent to the computer. only real options there are tapping control or alt/shift.

I write a lot - not only as a budding author but as someone who runs a business from home, and regularly reviews books - I'm always on my computer and needed something to keep up with all the tasks I do. I've enjoyed the quietness of the key tapping, the lack of delay when using the keyboard, and the extra keyboard shortcuts. It's hard to write a review about a product I've not used for more than a few weeks, but so far I'm enjoying the MX Keys, and whilst the price isn't affordable, the level of productivity makes up for it. Really nice to type on, and it looks pretty sleek. Battery lasts for ages, and the backlight comes on automatically when you place your hands near the keys.
