Set the unit up and at first it takes a while to settle and calibrate. After that the forecast is pretty accurate. I have the outdoor unit attached to a bit of timber away from the rain and it is performing very well. If you need a cheap little weather station, give this a try. Well worth the price. When I first put the batteries in both the inside unit and the outside sensor the outside temp reading was miles off. The digital readout on the outside sensor read 23 degrees which was about right but the outside temp displayed on the inside unit said -6 degrees!
After removing the batteries and starting again multiple times it eventually got within a couple of degrees of the outside sensor. It has a calibration where you can manually set the temp so I changed it to match. This worked until the next update and then it went out of sync again.

After hours of resetting and trying again I eventually got the temps to match using the manual calibration. I have noticed the inside temp display goes blank every now and then as well.
If it gets out of sync again I will probably return it as faulty.

I have owned one of these for 8 years and even brought them for family members in Aussie .
We all enjoy knowing what the weather is going to be and how warm it is.

I had one 10 years ago and took away by a family member. Now only find out the new one I bought is exactly the same. Nothing changed, nothing needs to be changed. Its doing its job so reliably that i believe I will hold on this one for decades to come. I had one 10 years ago and took away by a family member. Have used this for a couple of months - no problems.
A great basic weather station - easy to set up, very legible, seems to work perfectly, no problems with communication between outside sensor and central display. Have used this for a couple of months - no problems.
