Just recently purchased this RCA to HDMI Converter to hook up a Panasonic VHS Player to my 75” LG QNED81 4K Smart TV so that the kids could watch some of their old VHS tapes.

Had it all connected & powered up to the HDMI 1 Outlet on the TV but I ended up with a Blue Screen stating that there was no Video Signal. Whilst that was shown on the screen there was an audio feed from the VHS Tape being played through the HDMI 1 outlet.

I have seen cheaper RCA Converters on TradeMe & some of the comments say that it will not work on an OLED TV, so I bypassed those converters but bought this one off PBTech.

When I read the fine print on the tv HDMI input, it requested 4k@120hz. So the reason this converter didn't work for me seems likely to be that. So, I can't give any stars because I have no idea how good it is. It seems that all HDMI is not alike, and it is important to check the compatibility.

We have an analogue CCTV video feed that is connected over UTP cable with a balun each side to match the 75 Ohm coax to the UTP cable. The TV that monitored the feed died. I had spare computer monitors, but not a spare TV and many TVs no longer have a composite input. I used this converter to connect to the monitor's HDMI input and it works perfectly. I needed to be able to watch old VHS tapes on my new smart TV without any RCA connections. This works very well, and upscales to fill the screen without distorting the picture. Needed this to output to an older TV. This gadget isn’t hard to work out, which is good as the “Manual” is limited to say the least, and basically does what is intended, though when in 1080p mode the picture shows instability (which may or may not be the fault of the device). It works seamlessly in 720p mode. Needed this to output to an older TV.
