LENKENG LKV312HDR-V2.0 1-In-2-out HDMI Splitter with HDR & EDID

I am using this to be able to output sound from my PC to my AV receiver which has HDMI input but does not support 4K60 (and my TV does not have EARC), the splitter sends the signal to my TV (used as PC monitor) as if it was directly connected but splits a second 1080p signal (automatically downscaled) with the sound that my AV receiver can understand (this is with the "Copy first output" EDID setting). My TV only shows as supporting stereo up to 48khz in windows but this can be fixed with Custom Refresh Utility and editing the relevant info about supported audio formats so 7.1 in 96 or 192 gets passed to the reciever.

It comes with an AC adapter but it can be powered directly from USB 5v with a USB to barrel plug lead, I happened to have a spare one from a cheap DAC.

The only criticism I have is it seems to run quite warm (both via mains and USB power), it doesn't seem suitable for mounting on other electronics that get warm or anywhere that might be in direct sunlight

So this product both splits the video/audio feed reliably with no noticeable frame drop, but it also bypasses the the HDCP that the Playstation 3 , allowing me to stream my old games for my friends in HD.
