Not sure the width of our studs but it seemed to fit well in each of the corner holes and came with all the required parts. Very solid once it was attached to the wall. Holds a 55" Sony X75K easily and I could see it holding a 65". Has good tilt functions, only needed to use our own level to get it level. Other than that took us maybe 20 minutes from measuring, stud finding, drilling and attaching. Probably need two or more people to get it put on, not really a one person job, has some heft. This works. Its nice and sturdy, and has a really good range of motion.
I used this for my 70" 30 Kg TV, and it feels pretty good.

Be warned that you may need to get your own fasteners - the provided ones are are too long for many VISA mounts.
If you use the provided plastic standoffs/bushings then this isn't compatible with all of the vertical slots.
You'll probably want to get some 30mm long fasters and spring washers to avoid this. This works. Its nice and sturdy, and has a really good range of motion.
