Stay away from it.
I bought it a little over 2 years ago. Was initially quite happy with the performance however today it just died. Don't know about you but I am quite disappointed that a $400 "professional" AP just dies after 2 years.
Durability problems with this model
After 18 months of use, the power consumption of this device increased well about the specified 18.5W maximum. Eventually this caused it to exceed the supply capacity of the PoE port, and the device rebooted constantly. This seems to be a common problem with the U6-LR in particular.
Good product but doesn’t last long.
Purchased 2 LR units and 3 U6 dual band access point.
It worked well with Ubiquiti Dream pro and was quite happy with it.
1 LR unit broke after 1yr and replaced with new one as warranty period is over.
Using the 2nd LR unit just over 2years and the connection is keep dropping off. Probably need to replace again.
Disappointed how long the devices are lasting.
High capacity WAP with good design
This was replacing an older UniFi AP and went in perfectly. Even the mounting plate was the same which was a bonus and I didn't have to drill new holes in the ceiling.
Plugged it in using PoE and it was detected within moments by my UniFi app, and the adoption process was seamless.
It's been performing perfectly for a couple of weeks now, no issues at all and with good user experience from all connected devices.
The UniFi app allows you to fine-tune the radios on both 2.4 and 5GHz bands if you need to do so, allowing you great control to help with band/channel allocation if you're in a busy wifi environment.

Fantastic range and speeds
I upgraded an older UniFi unit to this one and have found an incredible boost in both range and speeds, consequently effecting the stability of connected devices too. Very pleased.
