Plugged it in my win 10 computer and it worked straight away. Tried it in another pc again worked straight away. It has good reception.

A brilliant product. It replaced a tp-link AC1300 Adapter which used a USB port in the front of our Dell PC. As a result of its length and weight the Adaper would partially tip out of the port and our internet connection would be lost. No such problem with this nano Adapter A brilliant product. It gave good speed for 5 minutes on my Media PC (41 Mbps versus over 140 Mbps+ for my laptop), but then dropped to 0.7-1.4 Mbps. When I ejected the nano it was physically hot.

Now, this may be a dud unit, but heat was often mentioned on the tplink forum I turned to; a concerning issue. Another thing I noticed was that the claim you can "choose" 2.4 or 5 Ghz is an untruth. If you broadcast separate SSID's then yes, but if there is one signal, the T2U defaults to 2.4Ghz (my guest network is 5 Ghz but when I tried that, all I got was 1.4 Mbps!). When I installed the driver online as I was looking to upgrade from my 2011 receiver, it dated from 2020. After this, the connection was up and down like a yoyo, so I updated the driver, and Windows downloaded one from 2024. As speed was non-existent (heat I respect), I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but the 2024 version I had vanished, leaving me with the stock 2020 driver that is buggy.

Conclusion
I put my 2011 wifi 2.4Ghz receiver back in the media PC and instantly doubled my speed (ok to 4Mbps). The T2U Nano is not a recommended product and I am returning to PBTech for a refund.

Used for 6 months. Started disconnecting from wifi and data slowed. Completed a speed test - Download has dropped right off 1-2MB. My Iphone X is 10 times faster. Uploads are similar speed.
