TP-Link TL-PA411 KIT AV600 Powerline Kit

I got this, thinking it could go to 500Mbps, not that I had anything that could go that fast when I bought it. It worked fine for VDSL, then 100Mbps fibre, but now that I have 1Gbps fibre, this is not performing. The issue is that it has a 100Mbps port, so it doesn't matter that it can go up to 500Mbps, it is still limited to 100Mbps and the best I can get is 40Mbps due to cross talk and such factors over ethernet and the powerline. Easy to use, quick to set up. Does the job.
Would be even better if they only took up the space of a single outlet, but they are a bit wide and tall so takes up the next socket on your wall plate too.

This powerline kit boosted my internet speed from 20mbps to 90+mbps. Easy setup as well. My gaming ping has been stable and no latency spikes anymore. Highly recommend it! Ordered this as the wireless signal from the router was way too weak.. so used this to connect the router to a wireless access point in the middle of the house. Works a charm! Not the highest spec but as I'm using this for internet traffic its perfect as still faster than my internet connection. I'm sure would also be absolutely fine for network access points for tv etc.
Used this for approx 1 month and no problems, and got a fairly good deal from PBTech.

Pro's
- Very easy to setup (took about 30 secs)
- Being able to use the power circuit makes it very convenient for use

Con's
- To work properly/best it should not be plugged into a power board, should be plugged directly into the wall, so if lack of powerpoints this can be a problem as you may get slower speeds
- Also to work best both power points they plug into should be on the same circuit, should still work if not but can be slower.
- If using as a bridge for streaming media, may bottleneck if a number of people are using at same time, so Gigabit Powerline may be better.

Great product, allowed me to extend internet access to a sleepout at the rear of my property, where wifi wouldn't work due to the stucco cladding on the house. Boom plug in and away you go. 105mbps in lounge, to 97mbps in the office over this beauty. And that is over fairly old wiring too. This product will solve issues with getting internet into places out of range of Wifi but only just. The devices tend to hook up quickly and show great connection rates however the minute there is actual use of the power (like running the TV, jug, microwave etc) its speed drops away and you are back to 20Mb rates. If they are really close to each other then it runs better, don't believe the range the product states.
