TP-Link WA850RE (N300) WiFi 4 Range Extender

Very easy setup. Good range when located properly, the leds indicate well the received signal strength. Only 2.4GHz WiFi band which is fine for my purposes. Relatively slow throughput 30Mb/s which is fine for what I needed. Good phone app to verify control. Inexpensive, and convenient to plug into a spare power outlet without a separate power pack. Stay away from this product! This extender causes a DHCP problem that sends rouge DHCP communication back to the router which was only conflicting with the Windows PCs on WiFi but not with the Windows PC on Ethernet or the Apple or Android phones. The TP-Link extender was causing the WiFi windows PCs not to get any IP address. The DHCP Windows WiFi problem only went away after unplugging the old TP-Link extender then the Windows PCs on WiFi connected immediately. Many people in this TP-Link thread had the same problems too! Web search TP-Link Forum topic 614778 Stay away from this product! This extender really solved our problem of improving the reception of our wireless WiFi for quite a reasonable cost. It's so simple. Just plug in and away you go after following the instructions. Bought this for my desktop that requires an ethernet connect for the internet but router is too far away. Worked perfectly. Just plugged it into the wall, followed the instructions, plugged the desktop into it, and all worked well.
