TP-Link TL-WR902AC (AC750) Dual-Band WiFi 5 Travel Router

This router is a great little device very useful when you travel and you want to use chromecast over the hotel’s wifi. The useful part is: No Ethernet connection is required. In this case is the wisp/hotspot mode is what you are after. Just switch to this mode from device’s button and you are ready to capture the hotel wifi and creat your own hot spot.
However, the annoying part was that the guy in Wellington shop explained me how this device won’t work like that. I don't know how I have lived without this until today. It is so useful that is almost unbelievable. Used to create a private wifi off of a shared open wifi network. Plugged in and set the mode, connected it to the shared open wifi and then created my own private one via the simple yet comprehensive web admin. No support for USB modem. It will only connect through 3G/4G via bridge mode to WiFi Dongle (Uses the USB port for power only). Short power (USB) lead. Bought it as a means to provide WiFi in the workshop at the back of the property. Been running it for a couple of months with no issues whatsoever. Signal strength is excellent, even through three walls and a distance of ~30 meters. It was a cinch to configure, with easily understandable instructions. Does not have Cellular Connectivity:4G (Single SIM). However it does connect in bridge mode to WiFi-4G device. Which allowed me to connect existing 4G WiFi device to Ethernet LAN. Pain in the ass to set up.
I will also admit that may have been user error, though I did get someone else to try and they were also not having any luck with it. After a few hours, and possibly by fluke, we had it working.
I am only using it as a wifi extender, so I can only comment on that, but it works well, no issues so far. Pain in the ass to set up.

I’m using this as a wireless bridge to my phone’s hotspot. This allows me to create a hard wire LAN network with internet. (In conjunction with a separate network switch attached to this travel router).
