This thing is just as fast as being directly plugged into an ONT. I can't suggest highly enough. Only down side is that it's a bit chunky but hey, can't get everything without spending the money installing ethernet.

This kit does as it says on the box and extends network access over the electrical circuit. I am pleased with the speed it offers and if you're only after an ethernet connection this will do the trick.

Do keep in mind, this particular kit does not offer wifi, so if you need that, you will have to attach a wifi access point to it or purchase a different model. Problems with poor wifi coverage in the area of the living room where the tv is located have gone for good. The powerline kit has enabled the tv to behave as if it was plugged directly into the router. I am delighted with the overall result.
