After our ONE modem died I contacted PB Tech.
Received easy to understand advice from PB Tech pro in networking (Christchurch store) and as a result opted for the TP-Link AX3000.

The installation was not without hiccups. But the warning by yje salesperson that we might need to contact Spark was in the end not necessary as Deco had the data from spark pre installed in the software. This system has exceeded my expectations.

I have a fairly large 2 story house with the main lounge and second lounge downstairs. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The Spark fibre router and modem are in the main lounge. The tvs in both lounges operate off fibre and wifi. There are 3 computers connected to fibre and wifi plus numerous cellphones, ipads, tablets and laptops.

I thought the wifi was ok already on all our devices, running at around 30 - 50mbps. But recently I installed 2 wifi internal security cameras, upstairs and downstairs. However, the upstairs camera was choppy, hence the reason for switching to the meshwifi system.

Well hell, after the installation was complete, which was simple and straightforward, I went around testing the signals. I had never wooped, yahooed or wowwed so much before. The signal got up to 340mbps. I am not lying!!

Recommendation? Go MESHWIFI folks. Oh, also great value.

If you’re looking for a mesh network to balance the needs of the 4-6 bedroom house and budget friendly; this is excellent. Stable connection, good balanced load on network, built-in IoT config. I wish I could set certain devices to be priority (you get this with gaming routers using TP-Link’s Tether app). I have a 950Mbps connection and I only get 300Mbps through put plugged directly into chorus’s ONT - sadly I’ll have to return it. Nice and easy to set up on my existing network. Have an X50 already and with two more set up on my network, my whole house (including outside) is covered. Very happy. We recently moved into a new rental 2 bedroom house in Island Bay. Our modem (One NZ, Fibre Max) and wall router (Chorus) located in the lounge (which has 900mb/s down 800mb/s up in that room). My custom desktop PC is located in my bedroom, 6 metres away from lounge separated by only 2 walls. My PC (purchased new December 2023) for some reason had a weak wi-fi signal. I was contemplating if to get a USB WiFi dongle. Suburban homes are known for having large rooms compared with shoe-box homes in inner-suburbs and the city. This product is well worth the investment, and is ideal for up to 2 bedroom homes. You download the app on your phone (for me, S22 Ultra), easy to set up, and complies with NZ privacy laws for peace of mind. Would recommend. 9/10.
