I was having trouble getting a camera signal back via WiFi due to the distance between WiFi router and the camera. I used the RE705X configured as an access point to solve this problem via a TP-Link power line kit. 10mins to set up, works better than the router wifi. No more dead zones in entire home, 150m2. Universal with many different routers, mine is not tp-link but works great.

I have a RE505 that works as an access point in my garage but I've always had trouble getting it to work as a repeater using the TP-Link Mesh system AX11000. I needed to extend my network to 2 rooms at one end of my house and finally made the leap to purchase this unit. Although all my research told me it didn't support the Mesh system with my AX11000, I was pleasantly surprised when I went to configure it and it did! It works really well at handing devices between my 2 units which I now run at a lower output power and find no issues with my networks in the house! It has great coverage for a long house. However we had to use the 2G extension network, not the 5G which means slower bandwidth due to the distance from the router.
Works well with tv streaming and video streaming on the computer.
Overall it is a good product and it was chosen over the default product supplied by our ISP. It has great coverage for a long house. However we had to use the 2G extension network, not the 5G which means slower bandwidth due to the distance from the router.

Super easy install, straight into the wall outlet and ready to go.

Finally we have decent internet in our sleepout, this has actually worked where other devices have failed. Devices now connect quickly and reliably, we've had no trouble since. Brilliant.
