Raspberry Pi Official Case with Fan Red / White for Raspberry Pi 5 Model B (The board is not included.)

It's great to have my valuable RP5 in a case. I have the M.2 hat and SSD installed so part of it pokes out at the top. The downside is you don't use the included fan and the top with the smart RP logo won't attach to the top (unless you mod it). It's great to have my valuable RP5 in a case. Found my 5’s get a lot hotter than my 4’s, and this definitely helps keep the temps down. Would consider a more heavy duty cooling system if you’re constantly pushing your pi to 100%, but for background automation and basic house servers it’s great. Great little box, except if you also buy the M.2 hat.
Then you need to remove the fan, which wasn't an issue, as I also bought the Pi5 cooler (and you have to remove the case fan for this too)
With the M.2 hat, the top of the case can't be used, as the M.2 card gets in the way. Great little box, except if you also buy the M.2 hat.

This is an excellent case. It keeps the raspberry pi cool, while allowing access to the GPIO ports. It can be a touch loud but that's my only complaint, and that can be taken care of by using a different fan. I've been extremely pleased with this case. This is an excellent case. This case isn't the best in terms of cooling, it won't keep your Raspberry Pi at very low temperatures during intense tasks but it works well enough for simple tasks.

The case is very easy to use — everything clips together firmly, and holds the board properly in-place without the need for screws.
A nice feature c.f. the RPi 4 case is extra vents underneath for extra air-flow.

Sadly, the fan is a bit average and pretty noisy compared with the integrated heatsink+blower. The case is very easy to use — everything clips together firmly, and holds the board properly in-place without the need for screws.

I have usually avoided the official case for raspberry pi's, but now that it has a fan I decided to give it a go.
