As a simple on/off power point , great value. Very easy to set up.

Advanced users may be interested to know I was able to get this working in Home Assistant, and controlling it with Apple HomeKit via the HomeKit Bridge. As a simple on/off power point , great value. Very easy to set up.

Functions are great, no issues - but. It relies on a functioning internet connection to turn on or off.
If the net goes down the unit may stay in either on or off which could be dangerous in some situations.

This smart plug has been working well to smarten up some lamps around the house. The Tapo integration with Google Home/Assistant is seamless, giving me "Hey Google, turn on the office lights" freedom.

The Tapo app allows me to configure lights to turn on at specific times and/or relative to sun up/sun down.

Only downside is that the iOS Siri integration feels clunky, in that you have to set up a "short cut" to action anything so you have to spend time setting things up that isn't needed on Android. This is our 2nd TP Link smart switch. Easy to use by Tapo app to switch ON and OFF. Can assign schedule of turning on or off and a timer if you want. perfect for what I needed. App works perfectly...setting up the daily schedule could be set out easier on the app but just needed to play around for a few minutes until sorted. Had it running for 2-3 weeks and seems reliable and works perfectly with bluetooth. perfect for what I needed. This device has made going to bed so much nicer. We have it controlling our electric blankets. With its ability to schedule times when it turns on or off, we never forget to turn on our blankets and always go to bed warm.

I am a great fan of Tapo products and the associated Tapo app. I already have 15 smart Tapo devices to automate my home so setting up an additional device was easy as. Simple integration with Google Home and Alexa as well. The Tapo app is so intuitive to use. Now I can switch my appliances on and off and monitor their status from anywhere.
