Delighted to be able to use my TV to see Smart channels. I have a plasma vintage TV which has amazing clarity & picture quality, it would have been a shame to get rid of it because none of the newer TVs had similar picture (Plasma) quality. So based on & thanks to PB Tech for offering such great products I decided to purchase the Smart VU dongle. With the installation of the Dongle I was amazed & very pleased to see the ease of upgrading a non smart TV to a smart TV. There was no app related info either. So after a bit of frustration & fiddling & resetting the dongle & remote connection, it then installed smoothly & I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the picture on screen once I selected the available channels. So I would happily recommend this item to all non smart TV owners if you would like the upgraded experience. The only issue I had was a lack of QR code which in my limited technical ability (age related, LOL) would really make installation a breeze. But other than that brilliant item & Thank you PB Tech for your excellent choice & to all the reviewers for your supporting reviews. It helped make the decision to buy this item really easy. Thanks a bunch. Now I am getting back to enjoying the online (smart) TV experience, Cheers.

Excellent value product. Turned a non-Smart TV into a Smart TV avoiding the need to needlessly replace a TV. This dongle uses WiFi, it works great, it will turn an old TV with an HDMI port into a smart TV.
It will stream all your online apps such as Netflix, Prime, TVNZ+, Three Now, Spotify, YouTube, Plex and all the freeview channels.
Plus you can download more apps using the google play store.
I use this to take on holiday to hopefully fit into an HDMI port on a TV and use the WiFi.
If you have a network cable I'd recommend the Dish TV A7070 box, it works the same.
Both the box and this dongle need a mains supply.

This will transform your dumb TV into an easy-to-use Smart TV. The setup of the remote is simple and eliminates the need for the original remote (if you still have it!). The DishTV SmartVu V11 was simple to set up and works well. It sits neatly out of sight in an HDMI port on the back of my TV. It works well with my home Mesh WiFi without the need for an Ethernet cable, a definite advantage. The quality of the picture is excellent and the sound through a Sonos soundbar is very good. The remote is perhaps a little small but easy to use once you are used to it.
The menu system is up-to-date and straightforward.

The Dish TV has most of the channels you could get from an Apple TV via an IPTV app and link. The performance is sluggish and I feel there isn’t enough storage though for the price they’re charging it’s reasonable. I am comparing this to an Apple TV so considering the price differences my expectations are higher than most people’s.
