While it was hard to identify this specific device as bring the solution I needed, once installed (with driver software from j5 website) it has worked perfectly.
Prior to this, great trouble getting a full notebook docking station from Lenovo to achieve what the J5 easily enabled: two independent monitors running alongside the notebook screen. This unit was the saving solution for a theatre show running two projectors off a laptop. The laptop had usb-c and HDMI outs. We bought a 2 port USB-C to 2 HDMI adaptor. Worked great however once the two projectors were connected the inbuilt HDMI would not support an extra monitor!!! The operator need the screen real-estate of an external to control the show. Panic! A quick purchase and hand delivery to the Aeroport later. and we could finish the show prep for the tour. This adaptor is running two HD projectors and and HD monitor off a laptop that doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card. I'm impressed. Plug and play - easy to install and small enough to not take up much room on the desk.
