It's described as an indoor sensor, but its neat appearance makes it suitable for my sheltered soffit installation, at a height of 2.2m. It works as it should, but has two drawbacks. Firstly, the instructions tell you to bend the springs up to allow the unit to fit through the hole in the horizontal surface. But they don't return to their original position, meaning there's a gap between the sensor and the surface. With one, I bent the springs downwards and that seemed to work. With another, I had to screw it to the soffit.
