The RODE Caster Video Core is an innovative all-in-one console for video and audio production, delivering a complete solution for producing professional content. Designed for software-based control or as part of a modular production system with RODE Caster Sync, it offers the same advanced capabilities of the RODE Caster Video in a streamlined form factor, combining powerful video switching, recording and production tools with a fully integrated professional audio mixer. Providing seamless integration across RODE audio devices including the RODE Caster Pro II and RODE Caster Duo, the RODE Caster Video Core offers maximum flexibility and ensures broadcast-quality results for video podcasts, live streams and studio productions.

Video Interface

The Video Core allows you to manage multiple video sources efficiently. Multiview monitoring shows program and preview feeds, live input thumbnails, audio levels, scene status, and recording indicators. Two downstream keyers handle overlays and logos, while two chroma-keyers manage background replacement. Internal media players can play MP4 videos, images, or WAV audio from the 24GB of onboard storage. Networked NDI cameras and PTZ controls expand production possibilities, and dual-cam streaming is available via the RODE Capture app for mobile devices.

Audio Sources

Audio capture is precise and versatile. Two XLR-1/4" combo jacks with low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamps ensure clean input for microphones and instruments. USB-C ports allow integration with RODE USB microphones, RODECaster Pro II, and multichannel outputs. Each channel benefits from Aphex VoxLab processing, including EQ, compressor, noise gate, high-pass filter, de-esser, Aural Exciter, Big Bottom, and panning. This setup delivers professional audio quality with minimal configuration.

RODECaster Companion App

The companion app provides advanced scene setup and remote control of the device. It allows automated audio-triggered video switching and detailed control of audio processing, routing, and streaming profiles. Creators can customize device settings and streamline workflows for efficient content production.

Intelligent Auto-Switching

Hands-free video transitions happen automatically when participants speak, ensuring natural and professional-looking production. Switching priorities and screen-time algorithms make transitions feel like a live director is managing the flow. This feature is ideal for solo operators or small teams managing multi-source productions.

Streaming & Recording

The Video Core supports direct streaming to platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch via Ethernet. It also records to external USB devices for flexible post-production.
