My wife changed into this camera from Canon D6 mkii and she couldn't be happier. The autofocus function is unparalleled. She does photos semi professionally and the amount of our of focus photos dropped from 20-30 in a 500-700 batches of photoshoots down to 1-2, which is incredible. I bought my Canon R6 Mk II camera body from PB Tech a few weeks ago and at first was overwhelmed with the capability it has to do so many things. The menu system is extensive and the camera can be set up and retain up to three different modes for things like fast action, landscapes, macro, and so on. Having come from a Canon 7DII camera and other Canon cameras before that, I was familiar with the operation of how all the buttons and controls work but the focusing system of the R6II was a whole new ball game. Having come from a Canon 7DII camera and other Canon cameras before that, I was familiar with the operation of how all the buttons and controls work but the focusing system of the R6II was a whole new ball game. Nevertheless, I have now learnt how to configure it for best results and have shot some photos that I am extremely happy with and which I doubt, that for low noise and overall quality, would have not been possible with my earlier Canon cameras, as good as they were. Having said that, I believe this would not be a good camera for a beginner as it is complex and demands an understanding of photographic "whys and therefores" that take a while to learn. For anyone willing to put in the time and effort though I thoroughly recommend the R6 Mark II as an amazingly capable camera both for still shots and movies. One thing I forgot to mention is that, with an adapter for the older Canon EF and EF-S lenses (and Canon-compatible lenses from other brands), this camera can take all those lenses, with no loss of quality. I have 5 Canon EF lenses and they all work perfectly on the R6 MkII so I don't need to purchase any of the newer, more expensive, Canon RF lenses developed for Canon's mirrorless cameras.
