Unlimited video recording, multiple modes
The LUMIX GH5M2 offers the multiple recording modes utilized for cinema, broadcasting, and other professional applications. In addition to C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit and C4K/4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra 400Mbps recording, unlimited recording is offered on all settings.*
* On condition that the camera is under the environment where the operation is guaranteed and is running on the battery. Recording time depends on the capacity of the battery and the SD Memory Card. Recording may stop in C4K/4K 60p/50p 10-bit and Anamorphic mode automatically to protect the camera.
Pre-installed V-Log L
The LUMIX GH5M2 features a dynamic range of 12 stops with pre-installed V-Log L, while color graders can utilize the same LUTs they use with V-Log.
USB power supply / power charging
Convenient during long shoots in the studio and elsewhere, this feature allows you to supply power to the camera. When used in combination with the separately sold battery charger DMW-BTC15 (USB Power Delivery standard compliant), it can be charged while supplying power.*
* Battery must be installed in camera and retain some charge for feature to work.
Selectable live stream methods
Wireless live streaming / USB-tethering (RTMP/RTMPS)
Easy wireless live streaming (RTMP/RTMPS protocol) by simply setting it up with the LUMIX Sync app (Android/iOS). Firmware version 1.1 adds the USB tethering function, which allows you to connect the camera to your smartphone via USB cable for live streaming. This makes it easier to ensure stable communication speed even in environments with a lot of radio interference and will enable streaming in 4K 30p/25p.
･Live streaming to the platforms that comply with RTMP/RTMPS is basically possible (Compatibility with all the platforms is not guaranteed.) There may be the cases where the live streaming is not possible when the service of the platform changes. For more information, please refer to the terms and conditions of the platform.
･Since the transmission speed of live streaming varies depending on the Internet environment, smartphone performance, etc., we recommend that you conduct a transmission test in advance.
Wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP)
With Firmware version 1.1, IP streaming via wired LAN connection can be selected, increasing the convenience in indoor environments where highly stable communication is possible. By connecting the camera to a PC with a wired LAN cable, it is possible to control multiple cameras or stream high quality video and audio up to 4K 60p/50p. H.264 and H.265 codecs can be selected.
