Arlo Ultra 2 4K Outdoor Wire-Free Camera System with Spotlight - 3 Pack

Watch out with this product, the box says that its included 1year plan trial (but it's only for 1080p resolution, and not for the 4k which is the full potential of the cameras). What's the point in get this free plan then if not allowing you to explore the full potential of the cameras?

When buying at the store I have been told by the seller that in the price I have a free plan, but haven't explained in detail (perhaps by mistake as box is not clear) what was included on that plan.

Also these are not working properly at home. It should record in 4k at home (live stream) but not working... Arlo support haven't been able to support.

2nd step: return this and get something else as for 1080p resolution you can get much better and cheaper solutions.

- The app is nice and can be integrated with Google Home
- The design is quite nice with the magnetic charger and mounting options

Cons
There are 3 major issues which led me to replace the Arlo cameras with cheaper brand but more stable.

Battery Life - this is a major one, in a busy area the battery will barely last for 24 hours, I lowered the sensitivity and video quality but didn't help. In a less busy environment would last 4-5 days, the advertised months of battery life is with close to zero recording and defiantly not using 4K.

Connectivity - another major item, the cameras disconnect all the time, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 15-20min, sometimes one camera will disconnect, in some cases all cameras become unavailable

Base Station - this is a major design issue, the Arlo cameras can work only with the base station, which is using its own and dedicated SSID broadcasted from the base stations, the cameras are connecting to this SSID.
In large areas it might not be enough, but the most significant issue is the interference with the existing WiFi.
Arlo recommend not to place any WiFi routers/APs between the base station and the cameras but this might be impossible in some cases.
I have very decent WiFi set up with 3 APs so why not to use that to connect between the cameras and base station.

It is a good package which suits most homes.
The quality of the cameras are unbeatable, and they are so easy to set up. If the camera is in a high traffic area, the batteries will last much less than the six months shown on the Arlo website. The solution is to add a solar panel to recharge. It is a good package which suits most homes.

You can’t go wrong with Arlo. Cameras are great. Built in LED lights turns on when intruder detected, 2 way sound, so you can warn intruder etc. you can save images or videos etc.

It was easy as to set up the hub and cameras. The clamps for securing the cameras work well. Just ensure there is enough space in the external memory card for local recordings! Ultra2 cameras are great. Connectivity reach and field of view, mounting and solar charging work well.

Great surveillance equipment. Easy set up. Clear images. The spotlight and microphone functions are very handy, as is the siren.
