Eufy Security Homebase 3

Recently added to my existing system this item allows the expansion to utilize the AI aspect of the system linking the 7 internal and external cameras.
Set up was achieved in minutes and was easy. No tech knowledge required just easy instructions to follow with voice prompts.
Easy added hard drives expand the system to allow the capture of years of video clips. I added 500GB however you can expand to 2T if required.
The unit sits unobtrusively next to the wifi router which is also a bonus.

Prompt delivery from PB Tech as usual. I did research prior to ordering the unit to check compatible cameras that would connect to the Homebase3 but during set up I discovered that 3 of my cameras were not actually compatible. These were 2K wired Pan and Tilt Indoor Cameras C220 which I had purchased last year.

On further research I found on a forum discussion that earlier models sold in the Pacific region were unsuitable for use with the Homebase3 and Eufy didn't plan to upgrade the firmware. So be aware that the older model camera works fine with control from the app and recording onto an SD card installed in the camera, but don't work with the Homebase3. The ones currently sold by PB Tech as Eufycam C220 V2 will work with Homebase3. The only clue is number on the box beside the barcode . T8W11T is not compatible. T8W11C is compatible.
I am pleased to report that the Homebase3 was easy to set up, is compact and unobtrusive, works well with 3 x Eufy C220 V2 cameras, 3 x Eufy 2k C210 indoor tilt cameras, and a Eufy Keypad, and alerts come through to my Android phone really quickly.

Good value and works well, only complaint would be customer should be warned not to load hard drive until after connecting to internet, wasted a lot of time trying to get going until I found this out. Bought this to go with my alarm kit and cameras. Expandable to 16 TB of memory.

I was surprised how easy the Eufy security system was to set up.
I have 6 external cams and 6 internal motion detectors plus the homebase and siren.
Installation of the hardware is straightforward and the pairing of the hardware seamless.
Once set up, programming and monitoring is so easy. I was surprised how easy the Eufy security system was to set up.

The Homebase 3 is a nice hub for Eufy cameras and doorbells. As an added bonus, it doubles as a doorbell chime and works well for this. This hub is key to to adding the additional and AI capabilities to the cameras. The internal storage is easy to upgrade. The Homebase 3 is a nice hub for Eufy cameras and doorbells.
