Reolink 5MP/2K+ Outdoor PoE Video Doorbell with Chime

We use this at our front gate. We previously had Ring wireless doorbell camera which (even with an outdoor access point aimed directly at) it constantly missed visitors and needed frequent battery swaps. This doorbell hasn't missed a visitor at our gate yet, and provides intelligent alerts without constant false positives. The image is clear, even at night, and the delay before getting an alert is also minimal compared with wireless versions. Well worth the effort of running a cable to the camera for the many advantages it offers. We use this at our front gate. I purchased this recently after reading a bunch of reviews online and seeing its integration with HomeAssistant. I was originally looking at the Ring brand, but I'm glad I went for this one instead. Was super simple to install and works great. It already proved useful on multiple accounts within 48 hours catching someone stealing a Weber BBQ from my deck. I loved it so much I ended up getting one of the Reolink Duo Floodlight cameras as well to replace a Swann one I had originally. Pleased with the quality of the unit and the images it produces and it is easy to set up with the Reolink app or through the web interface to the camera.

One of the main draws for me is that the feed is not locked to a proprietary cloud service so the device can be linked to you own NVR. This was also straightforward, with the in-device motion alerts being fed through to my (QNAP) NVR to trigger recording actions.

Bonus - the latest firmware adds pet detection, in addition to the people and vehicle classes that were there before.

All in all, highly recommended. Pleased with the quality of the unit and the images it produces and it is easy to set up with the Reolink app or through the web interface to the camera.

A great product for a great price. I wanted the non-wifi version and this PoE Reolink doorbell works great. I did have to purchase a PoE injector to power it as I'm not currently running a DVS or PoE switch.
It took a bit of time to get the right sensitivity settings and there is a one second notification delay but overall this works very well with a nice clear picture.
I added a 128gb micro sd card to the doorbell so it records video when triggered.
The app on my phone works well with no issues at all, very intuitive with easy to use functions.

Installation was a bit tricky, as I had no wiring location, so I had to get a 300mm drill to go through brick and everything else, after that getting the network cable through to the camera via the pantry on the other side of the wall to the camera was fairly simple.
Images are crisp and clear. Connecting to my POE router was very simple. This device does not come with its own POE injector.

I picked this one over the more popular Ring products because this one is connected and powered by a single PoE cable.
