* The tray is removable making it easy to use the platform while seated. This enlarges the overall work area and eases packing up and transport. It also has a strong connection to the frame. (See cons)
* The work surface is not slippery. Looks and feels great.

The cons:
* Because the tray is removable, it's not as stable as a fixed platform would be. I worry that if I put too much pressure on the tray, over time it will bend. This means I don't rest the full weight of my arms on the tray (like I might on an actual standing desk). However, this might not be a bad thing for posture since it forces the body into a more stable stance and requires engaging the right muscles to support the forearms. ChatGPT concurs that resting the forearm lightly on the surface is best.
* The top platform is recessed to support a deeper tray. This is great for the positioning of the keyboard as it allows plenty of room to rest the wrists. But it comes at the cost of real estate for positioning the monitor(s) and laptop. This hasn't affected my setup since my laptop is 13", but might be worth a second look if your equipment is larger.
* The rounded edges are so pronounced, it robs the platform of effective space. Instead of positioning my monitors right at the edge of the table, I have to move them in about 2 cm.
* Only supports 15kg of equipment.

To make this the perfect desk riser, I would make the back corners more square, the recess slightly shorter so the top overlaps a bit with the tray, and a slightly more sturdy connection between tray and table.

Overall, I highly recommend this to be on the short list when wanting to turn a regular desk/table into a standing desk.
