Great deal, good piece of hardware

Delivery was made within 24hrs of purchase. Plugged it in and let Windows do the it's thing, the rest is history. No problems after a few days of use, I highly recommend this item for those of you looking for a drive replacement or new build.

A well sorted product

This was bought to replace a dead optical drive (of another make) in a friends computer. No fitting hassles, everything clipped in and computer turned on within minutes of starting the job. Windows instantly saw the new drive, and all was well. This is the 3rd Asus I have fitted for other people (I have used Asus for years in my own computers). What's not to like? Fast, quiet, reliable, works as it should with no dramas. PBTech pricing/service/delivery is great too. Recommended AAA+++.

ASUS DRW-24D5MT

Knew PB had the wrong, outdated picture on website - the unit has e-green and Mdisc on drawer front. Check the model number on Web for an up to date picture. Easy replacement install, completely silent unless ripping CDs, when it will trigger the PC's fan. Used for only a week or two so far, to rip CDs to MP3 USB stick. Recommended.
