The price to function value was excellent (burnt a couple of cds, read a lot of them : have not yet tried burning each and every capacity of dvd etc.). Do not know how long it will last as the tray need to be supported when one clicks in the CD/DVD but it worked perfectly on the Mac without any need for additional s/w or drivers. Bought this to work with a Raspberry Pi 3. It plugged and played straight away without needing to waste a couple of hours on Google finding out how to hack configuration files.
