Picked one of these up at a sale, and was not expecting a huge improvement over the OEM setup for my aging i5 6500..... but wow, I was blown away (no pun intended) by the performance of this cooler. At idle, the CPU sits at 19C, under load gaming, max I've seen is about 49C but suspect a lot of that heat is coming from the video card rather than the CPU itself. Couple of things to be wary of though - 1) Size - this thing is huge, so measure up your case before purchasing - just fits my case. 2) LED on fan is SUPER bright. Lights up my room if I take the side off at night. Great cooler. Very quiet, easy to fit and a massive improvement on an intel stock cooler. The stock cooler was noisy as it cycled up and down keeping things cool. Bought on special to replace the stock Intel cooler I was using temporarily after an old AIO coolers pump failed. Hard to beat at that price. Very easy to install, even easier than the Noctua NH-U12S on our other PC. Much nicer looking and better performing than other budget coolers around that price. Quiet too. After installing temps while playing Assassin's creed origins were about 20 degrees lower. Went from top temp 78 to top temp 57. Definitely recommend for the price. $35 on special. Pretty easy install. Comes with thermal paste but I used some silver stuff I had. A bit noiser than the old one.
