Once the secondary cache runs dry, the SN580 slows down to around 500MBps, which is still actually fast for TLC NAND written natively.
Slightly low endurance rating but still could write an average of 246GB per day to the drive for five years.

I put this in my MSI laptop which only has Gen3 PCIE M.2 slot but it's still much faster than any other Gen3 PCIE M.2 SSD's and the cost for this is not much higher. Worth, would buy this again as a storage drive.

EDIT: I've updated this review to include some benchmarks with this in my Desktop against a more expensive Acer predator GM7, as you can see very solid 4k random write performance.
Also in regards to the other review on here about it not showing up the Acronis true image drive software, this wasn't a problem for me and I have no idea why it didn't work for him.

It's affordable, and does the job.

I bought this to replace my windows boot drive with something larger. The only drive cloning software on the WD website did not recognize any WD drives as being installed in my computer and refused to work. I ended up doing a full windows reinstall which wasn’t a problem but I would have preferred to have the option of cloning my original drive.
