There are firmware issues with the WD Blue SN580. My PC would constantly blue screen on startup, and after many hours of troubleshooting I found that you have to manually update the firmware of this SSD. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS before you purchase. I have installed SN580 drives in three older systems. The speedup to these machines had extended their usefulness by years, so is well worth the effort.

I can say is that this SSD is on the price range of SATA SSD but the read and write speeds are way more than SATA SSD's so this would be a better choice in my opinion. Good SSD, I replaced a 256GB Boot drive SSD that was running out of write cycles with this one, I used the free Veeam endpoint backup to restore the boot drive to this one from a NAS, then had almost endless Blue Screen issues. I thought it was the restore process that had broken something and started disabling the usal suspect drivers (Audio, Video etc). Did a bit of digging and found Windows 11 24H2 and some SSD drive have this issue and using Western Digital Dashboard to update the firmware fixed the problem so my suggestion is do that first....
