Extremely happy with the Brilliant Smart WIFI smoke alarm. This alarm looks to be very well made and was easy to fit and integrate into our smart home. Easy to fit and connect to the app. This was one of the only alarms I could find available in NZ that were wifi enabled and up to current code of compliance. My only small gripe is the “10 year battery life” is from date of manufacture rather than date of purchase, so mine were already 2 years down that road. I chose this item as I was becoming frustrated with devices sourced from the big box stores failing after a short time with lots of nuisance activation.
The device ticked a few boxes for me being wifi connected, auto testing and ( so far) very reliable.

Easy enough to set up once I realised the battery in the wall mount (not in the actual alarm),needed to be taken out and turned around the right way. It sends notifications each day to let you know it’s still working which is nice for peace of mind. Will eventually get more to replace other smoke detectors in the house.
