Xiaomi Mi Home Temperature & Humidity Monitor Pro - White

Bought this to go in our camper van, nice and clear e-ink display which gives visibility from any angle. Unit is nice and slim and looks good when mounted on a wall. I wasn't interested in the bluetooth side of things however you have to connect via bluetooth to set the clock (unless you want to put the batteries in at midnight). Make sure you have the latest Xiaomi Home app installed as I already had a version installed and I couldn't get it to connect. Once updated though it worked fine. Got this for use with my Home Assistant installation. Works perfectly fine with the Xiaomi Miio integration and batteries last long enough that I don't have to worry about them.

The device's basic functionality as a clock, temperature and humidity display is good. The app is a bit basic, a simple line plot for all options, no data export, and always takes time to connect to the device. The stick-on magnet didn't stick, the clock kept falling off the fridge. On night, it fell f the fridge, lost it's back cover, and spilled it's button-batteries on the floor - fortunately, we have no babies or pets to hoover them up. I also have the Tapo-315, which is also e-ink, but doesn't have a clock, and needs a Tapo hub. The Tapo magnet is internal (yay!) with an optional 3M stick-on non-slip pad. Tapo is batteries included, Xiaomi isn't. The Tapo app has nicer charts and provides export to CSV. If you need a clock, the Xiaomi is the one to pick, plus it's form factor looks nice on a fridge. For temperature/humidity monitoring with CSV export, Tapo is the way to go - but you have to buy the hub too.

Small, super good viewing angles, very sensitive monitors (humidity & temp), minimal/clean look. It feels a little pricey for what it is but with the Xiaomi Home app it's more understandable. It automatically keeps a log of temperature and humidity for up to 6 months. Make sure when you do the initial setup to turn your phones location on otherwise the device will not pair. Overall, it's great. It features an Eink electronic ink screen and automatically synchronizes time via Wi-Fi. The only downside is the lack of a date display, which I hope to see in future updates. It's a great clock and climate sensor. The clarity of the e-Paper display is outstanding. It is very clear from any angle, even in terrible lighting conditions.
I would prefer the device to comply with open source home automation standards as the proprietary app. is not very useful.
