Edifier WH950NB Wireless Over-Ear Noise-Cancelling Headphones - Black

Sony should be nervous. I own Sony's flagship wh-1000xm5 headphones. In fact I have 2 pairs.
Thought I'd try the Edifier wh-950nb after reading the great reviews and accolades.
Tell you what, all the hype is justified. The sound quality outperforms the Sony. Cleaner sound with a more rich deeper bass. Trebles are crisp and mids are balanced well.
The Edifier app is available as a free download. From there sound can be fine tuned by way of a 4 slider equalizer or the presets can be selected.
A hard travel case is included. Inside you will find a cable for wired listening, charge cable and airplane adaptor.

I use a Shanling hi res player for my music. Tracks sound so much better on the Edifier compared to the Sony. Noise canceling on the Edifier isn't quite as good as the xm5's but comes close.
One small gripe is I find the headband tends to move around a little on my head.
For half the price of the xm5's you get an excellent pair of bluetooth, wireless noise canceling headphones which equal or exceed in some areas the performance of the Sony's.

Pros- sound quality is good
Battery - decent battery life
NC - good for the price I paid

Cons- not much , if we use it for long time you might feel it is very heavy comparing with my previous headset. Last couple of weeks I am using this product.

I think I am a bit of an Edifier proponent, especially of their higher end products. I’ve had the S3000 for a few years and I love them, so much thought of buying these headphones after my JBLs broke. I’d say I quite like them. I specifically purchased this set of headphones for comfort. The images showed reasonably sized earpad and headband padding, and I can confirm that I'm able to wear them for hours with no discomfort, even with glasses. The headphones can squeeze a bit on the sides around the ears and might set a bit heavy, but it doesn't bother me.

The sound quality is good, not going to blow your socks off but worth the price. I don't think the difference between the "Classic" and "Dynamic" modes is worth it, I just have them left on "Dynamic".

The noise cancelling is more "noise suppression", it works best with constant white noise (I can't hear my comput...view more I specifically purchased this set of headphones for comfort. The noise cancelling is more "noise suppression", it works best with constant white noise (I can't hear my computer's fans with it on) and anything at normal speaking volume, but for louder noises (e.g. dishwasher, vacuum, enthusiastic conversations) it'll just make them quieter. It also helps that the earpads by themselves give a good seal.

I've had zero issues with Bluetooth. Connects fine on my Samsung phone, iPad, and desktop.

Charging is quick, and battery life is decent.

Replaced Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT/NC purchased 202 that were looking the worse for wear. Mainly used in work from home situation with regular Zoom/Teams meetings. Used pretty much all the business day. Noise cancellation is good for reducing background noise in the home.
I like the wider ear-space compared with the Sennheiser. The Edifiers are genuinely "over-ear" rather than sitting on the outer edges. Haven't tried them in my office days yet, but I think they'll be good for that too once winter is over and I have a bit more space in my backpack.
