The MiniArt 2-38048 Toolmakers kit is a finely crafted 1/35-scale diorama set released in 2021, featuring two detailed figures of skilled tradesmen working at a bench. The box contains five gray plastic sprues housing parts for a sturdy workbench (with eight drawers and visible metal-top details), two toolboxes, a pillar drill press with belt-drive, a double-ended bench grinder, and a bench vice. A brass photo-etched fret enhances realism, adding intricate handles, drawer runners, vice jaws, and tool fittings.

The two figures are portrayed mid-action: one operating the pillar drill while the other files a component in the vice. Both wear realistic workwear-overalls and boots-with highly detailed sculpting typical of MiniArt's figure range. The toolbox elements include one closed and one open box, complete with tiny tools like spanners, files, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, hammers, pliers, and wheel wrenches, all accurately represented in plastic and etched brass.

The overall arrangement makes this kit highly flexible for inclusion in military or civilian workshop dio-ramas spanning much of the 20th century. With its compact yet striking layout, it's ideal for adding character and storytelling depth to garage or maintenance scenes.
