LG 32UP550N-W 32" 4K UHD Business Monitor

Bought primarily for use with my M4 MacBook Air and Logic Pro, this is a very good buy. If, like me, you were going down a rabbit hole of screen scaling concerns with Macs and 4K monitors, don't bother. Macs will default to 1080p on a 4K screen which is too big, and native 4K is too small for my eyes. There's also a 1440p option in Display settings which is better but still too big for me. Switching to "Show all resolutions" I found my sweet spot at 3008x1692. No idea what that is but for me it's the perfect balance of real estate and still clear readability with zero fuzziness. The one USB C cable provides power and screen. I plugged my Midi keyboard and webcam into the back of the screen via the two USB A slots which instantly mapped through to the Macbook. A very tidy setup.

My only gripe is in terms of black levels this is no OLED, but it's half the price. Out of the box it's bright but it's worth spending a little time tweaking to your liking. I got there in the end, and overall I'm very happy with it.

A great monitor for either home office or gaming use, crystal clear and very easy to setup and start using.

Having the HDMI, Display Port and USB-C cables provided with the screen is a very welcome extra, which so many manufacturers neglect.

The sound from the speakers is clear and crisp, whilst certainly not an "immersive gaming experience" they certainly do the job for casual gaming and other activities. A great monitor for either home office or gaming use, crystal clear and very easy to setup and start using.

This monitor is a decent choice for its price range. The UHD resolution provides clear and crisp visuals that are superior to regular HD or 4k displays. However, the colour accuracy could be improved, as it seems to be off by around 15%. Additionally, there is a noticeable amount of glare when viewing from different angles. That being said, if you're looking for a budget-friendly monitor for work or casual use, this one is definitely worth considering. It offers great value for its cost and performs well for daily use. Had an issue with some strange grey lines in the monitor, but after the conversation with PB Service they agreed to replace it and the new unit was perfect.

Another note. The reason for buying this monitor is to replace the dual monitor setup that I have for WFH. After a few weeks of testing, I can say that a laptop screen and 32' is more than another to replace 2 monitors (24 and 22 inches)

A few downsides:
- Thick monitor. But it kinda expected due to the price
- The stand doesn't turn left/right + it's a bit big and takes width space on the table. Might consider a monitor arm at some point in time.

Everything about these monitors is good. Image quality, build quality, the adjustable stand. The UI on the menu is easy to use. I love my new monitor - great screen size, responsive and works well. One small issue is when it wakes up from sleep (when my laptop has gone to sleep) the screen is greyed out - I have to change the mode / turn it off and on again for it to resolve. This monitor claims 3000:1 contrast ratio and that is a lie
as soon as you turn it on you can see that the monitor has very limited contrast range and it is impossible to find any settings that provide good image, it is just washed out with no decent black level available and limited brightness

I had been considering a 32 inch 4K replacement for some time, After searching various reviews this LG unit became my choice and proved excellent for my purposes.
Cables can be expensive but all you are ever likely to need are included.
In my old age my eyesight has deteriorated considerably. This screen allows me to have slightly larger image than before and the brightness is stunningly clear.

After having replaced one of my two screens with this model, I just could not get the "old" screen to have same color and brightness matching the new screen. Measurements with a photo spectrometer indicated that the very different backlighting characteristics of the screens would virtually make it impossible to get them to look the same. Absolutely loving the new screen's vivid and true colors I decided to get (while still available) an identical one to ensure same characteristics. Fortunately the screens have color temperature settings and after setting the new screen to "cool" it matched the"old" screen's "normal" exactly for the eye anyway. Checking this with my photo spectrometer, I could verify that indeed the color temperatures matched now and other colors as well. So I was slightly puzzled by this, but that's all. The screens are very pleasant to the eye and can be adjusted over a wide range. Viewing angle is great too, so that two of these next to each other is not a problem. Very happy with my purpose and forgive them for not using the exact same calibration in the factory. They are absolutely identical now according to my measurements, which are way more unforgiving (accurate) than the eye.

I’m using this screen to run my MacBook Pro as an external display. I choose this because it’s has a 96 watt usb c display port and it charges my MacBook Pro while connected, making my home studio very streamlined and tidy. Delivery was fast and secure.
