I did quite a bit of research on phones and talked to others before buying this as my switch to a 5G compatible phone, given it is an 'enforced' switch and my old phone is still fine so I was concerned about phone performance but didn't want to spend much. I've used this phone intensely for a few months now and had zero performance issues and am impressed by responsiveness and all round performance. Activities include streaming high resolution video, countless website interactions (both work and pleasure), including online transactions, emails, social media and various location and other specialty apps. In all of these it has responded much faster than my former 4GB RAM phone (Huawei) and the sound and screen are a pleasure. Screen colour rendition, refresh, sound range, switching between apps and back have all been excellent. A bonus is the screen dimensions match movie format so you get the full screen breadth on this phone through netflix (some other streaming sites do not take advantage of this e.g. TVNZ+). I'm not a gamer so can't comment on gaming performance at all, and would expect gamers to go for a higher spec chip. Amazing for the price, given the performance I would have happily paid more.

I like that this phone was cheap and is able to what any phone is able to do. Going from a phone from 2016 that was around the same price range, I was astonished. Intuitive enough that an elderly person can mostly setup and use on their own. We really like that the phone can tell you if a caller is suspicious or blocks them outright if they are a known scam caller. This is a major plus for the phone as scams are running rampant nowadays. We do wish that it was a bit smaller, while the larger screen is good for poor eyesight it is a touch too big to easily store in a pocket. Also the sound could be louder. Does what I expect a smartphone to do, get through all the nonsensical apps in the shortest time possible so I can get on with my life in the real world. In that regards the phone works well since its fast enough that i dont have to spend too long looking at it. fair price i bought it for. I love this new phone - it took me a while to get used to the larger size and although I had a Samsung previously, this was a bit different. Looks great, very quick to charge and holds the charge for days (unlike my charge-everyday old phone). Super quick searching, good call quality and excellent audio. Super easy transferring of files from my old phone and all at a really good price. Very pleased with my purchase.
