Let down by cooling

Good specs on paper and a decent laptop all around but it unfortunately gets thermal throttled too quickly and too easily. Like I will be playing factorio or CS2 and the performance very noticeably drops after 15-20 mins as the temps get too high. I am barely managing with my 60 dollar cooling mat and am now in the market for something more beefy. With the extra cost I would just recommend paying extra for a laptop with better cooling. This is so frustrating as its one of the only laptops at this price with a 3050 running at 60W, while all others are at 45W or less. Sadly underperforms

Has the hardware but none of the cooling headroom. When I'm gaming hard for over an hour it noticeably slows down. Can confirm this with a pcmark score, CPU gets a Cinebench R23 score of 7790, most gaming laptops with this chip should get closer to 10,000. The GPU gets a Furmark score of 2048, when it should be closer to 3000. I suppose it could be remedied with external cooling solutions but that is an additional purchase on top of the laptop. It otherwise works fine just be aware it will throttle on prolonged use

Pretty cheap

Bought this before seeing the other review, can confirm the cooling is not quite adequate for meaty games. Though for my visual novels it runs ok. I do have to say though that the keyboard has a nasty flex and overall is mushy. Battery is decent enough to get through 2 lectures

Good Start

As the other reviews have stated, this laptop does have a tendency to thermal throttle itself (i can normally get around 30-60 minutes of straight use), but its not as bad as they make it sound, however it can be a annoying to constantly have to stop playing to let it cool down (i normally do it every 1-2 hours depending on game) but its been great for everything I've wanted to play so far.
